Reading Programme
The Primary Wing Library Reading Programme is designed to
nurture a love for books and develop early reading skills in young learners.
Through engaging and age-appropriate literature, the programme helps children
build vocabulary, improve comprehension and develop listening and speaking
skills in a joyful learning environment.
Students are introduced to a wide range of picture books,
storybooks, rhymes, folk tales and simple informational texts. Regular library
periods, storytelling sessions, read-aloud activities and guided reading help
strengthen imagination, curiosity and language development. Activities such as
book browsing, character talks and simple reflections encourage confidence and
self-expression.
The programme lays a strong foundation for lifelong reading
habits, making the library a welcoming space where learning begins with stories
and grows with imagination.
